If you blinked, you will have missed all the action over the weekend! As lads, we need these kinds of weekends after a hard week's work!
If you were otherwise engaged - not to worry! We would hate for you to be that one in the office who hasn't got a clue in the post weekend chat, so let us fill in the gaps...
Mixed Emotions
With Wales and Northern Ireland coming up against each other, there was always going to be one home nation exiting Euro 2016. A Gareth McAuley own goal put Wales through to the quarter finals of Euro 2016.
In all honesty, if you missed the game, you didn't miss anything. It was a cagey affair, with both sides looking nervous to attack and leave the back door open. The one bit of quality in the game won it; Gareth bale whipped in a low cross which McAuley could only turn into his own net. Wales will now face Belgium in the quarter final after they hammered Hungary 4-0 last night.
Republic of Ireland's Euro 2016 dream is over after a narrow 2-1 defeat to hosts France. Ireland were on for a shock victory when Robbie Brady opened the scoring with a third minute penalty, but two second half goals from Antoine Griezmann secured France's passage to the quarter finals!
Seventh Heaven
Anthony Joshua successfully defended his IBF heavyweight title with a seventh round knockout of Dominic Breazeale. The American put up a good fight and made Joshua work hard for his 17th consecutive knockout win.
AJ had his opponent on the ropes early on, but Breazeale briefly fought back. Joshua then floored Breazeale in the seventh and the referee ended the fight. The next fight for the champion is likely to be against New Zealand's Joseph Parker, who also holds an unbeaten record. Can't wait already!
Whitewash for England
England completed a series whitewash win over Australia after an incredible 44-40 win in the third and final Test.
Dan Cole and Mike Brown went over for England in the first half, but they trailed the hosts at the break. Owen Farrell was immaculate with his boot in the second half, as well as two more tries through Billy Vunipola and Jamie George, and that handed England the win.
Impressively, it was the highest points total ever recorded by an England side in Australia, and they are the first touring side to complete a 3-0 series win in Australia since South Africa in 1971!
One Win, One Washout
England recorded a 10-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the second ODI at Edgbaston on Friday evening. A combination of excellent bowling and fielding restricted the tourists to 254-7 and England reached the 255 target with ease. Openers Alex Hales and Jason Roy both recorded centuries as England reached the target with 95 balls to spare!
England managed to restrict Sri Lanka to an even smaller total of 248-9 in the third ODI in Bristol on Sunday, but rain thwarted the run chase. Play had to be abandoned just four overs into England's innings due to rain, which leaves England 1-0 ahead in the series with two matches to be played.
