Weekday Worldies the ones we missed

We may have already brought you two editions of Weekday Worldies associated with the Olympics, but that doesn't mean we have to stop there!

It's safe to say after some thorough research, there were a few that slipped through the proverbial Olympic net, so let us give you another five...

Aliya Mustafina - @musaliya135

Aliya Mustafina, a stalwart of Russian gymnastics, won three medals in Rio, including a Gold for uneven bars for the second consecutive time. Known as one of the fiercest gymnastics in the world, Mustafina now has seven Olympic medals (she won four in London 2012). Although the medals are not the only reason for which Mustafina is famous for. The decorated gymnast raises temperatures on the arena with her jaw-dropping moves and as well as her good looks.

Alex Morgan - @alexmorgan13

While women across the world drool over Cristiano Ronaldo, USA forward Alex Morgan is the equivalent for males to fantasise over. Morgan, who plays as a striker for the Orlando Pride in USA's National Women's Soccer League, is one of the most famous female footballers in the world. While USA lost to Sweden in the quarter-finals, Morgan surely would have made a long-lasting impression in the minds of the Rio crowd.

Zsuzsanna Jakabos - @zsuzsubell

Talking about Hungary and swimming, people may only remember the name of Katinka Hosszu, the Iron Lady who won three Gold and a Silver in Rio. However, another Hungarian swimmer Zsuzsanna Jakabos also found the limelight in the pool with her sizzling beauty.

Giulia Steingruber - @giulia_steingruber

This blonde beauty became the first Swiss woman to win a gymnastics Olympic medal when she placed third in the Rio vault final at the Rio games. It's safe to say that a gymnastics routine never became so interesting!

Jade Jones - @jadejonestkd

In 2012 London Games, Jade Jones became Great Britain's youngest Gold medallist. In 2016 Rio Olympics, she retained her Taekwondo title with a thrilling win over Spain's Eva Calvo Gomez. It's fair to say the Welsh star has blossomed over the last four years; we're already looking forward to Tokyo 2020!
