If wine tasting sounds a bit too pretentious for a stag do, how about shot tasting in a bar in Bratislava Old Town instead? This is a pub crawl with locally produced shots thrown in for good measure. Your party will get to learn all there is to know about Slovak shots at an old school pub. Experience the taste sensation that is Slivovica! Made locally, this is pretty potent stuff. You have been warned!
The night's antics begin with a guided pub crawl of Bratislava. Unlike your bog standard stag do bar crawl, this tour includes pit stops at watering holes favoured by locals as well as the more touristy places so you get the best of both worlds.
During the course of the pub crawl, you'll get to do some Slovak shot tasting and learn a bit about why downing Slivovica is a big part of the country's culture. Slivovica is a basically a clear brandy made from Damson plums. It is to Bratislavans what schnapps is to Bavarians. It actually tastes pretty good, way more quaffable than tequila. As the locals say: Na zdravie! Try saying that after one too many ales!
